The Phase

We identify different people’s lives, and our own through the phases we go through. The most common type of phase is the ageing phase: a toddler, teenager, an adult, a middle-aged man, and then the post middle-age period to the end of their life. During this ageing phase, we undergo other types of phases like: struggle, success, hardships, an all-time low/high, etcetera. There is a phase which doesn’t have a name, but still hurts the most.

The phase starts suddenly out of nowhere, and picks up pace slowly. It generally begins when we’re at an all-time high, basically at the top of the world. We’ve worked hard for days, weeks, months, or even years, and earned the much-deserved success. Whatever we’re doing is bringing us a lot of joy, and obviously we want to continue it further, develop and improve it more.

We have launched something that we’ve been working on a long time, for example a company/business or a YouTube channel. We’ve planned on how to launch it, and keep it at the top as much as possible. The moment finally comes up, as our creation is released, and in no time, people have started praising and we’ve finally got what we wanted. The combination of success and praises from people has got us the confidence to continue this ahead.

We spend a lot of time doing the same thing, and boy is it not improving? We have the confidence and energy to do it, but slowly, the ‘consistency’ in our work has gone down. The success and praises that we've received from others, have gotten in our head, and the thought of being successful has actually taken us down. And as a human being living on the planet Earth, we do not realize it. And that kicks off proceedings of ‘The Phase’.

During this phase, we do everything in our will. There is nothing like a routine or a thing you need to do consistently. For weeks, we’re having a different life compared to the one we lived sometime back, while doing the thing that brought us a lot of success, and enjoyment. In this phase, we do everything possible, including things we do not enjoy, but not the ‘THING’.

Our leniency and such behavior towards work is doing us no good. It takes us quite some time to realize how horrible we’ve been for the last few weeks or months. We do not have the spark anymore, and are destined to return back to doing the ‘thing’. Well, well, well. SURPRISE. Our longevity of being away from the ‘thing’ has a twist for us before returning back to it.

The impact ‘The Phase’ has had on our lives, is beyond imaginable. Even though we have the utmost desire to return back, we cannot because of unexplainable reasons. We try to do the ‘thing’ again with even more effort, but it isn’t happening. The following is an example of how this ‘Phase’ really didn’t allow the person to comeback easily (mind you, this really happened).

A young boy is a budding writer, and is looking for opportunities to showcase his skills, and finally receives one. His article on the importance of Aunts has worked wonders, and he gets an opportunity to post blogs for a website. He obviously starts with the aunt blog, which receives several likes, comments and views. With his confidence, he continues to build a reputation by continuing with about 3 more posts. By the end of August, 2020, he has 4 posts, starting a mere one month ago. But as he had written four blogs, by the age of 12, he believed he was on another level, but to his disgust, he was wrong. And yes, he didn’t post articles for a long time.

Why? What happened? How? These might be questions pondering in your mind related to the boy. And I’ll surely answer these in the upcoming article, which’ll showcase how he managed to get out of this, and that’ll surely help plenty of people too. The main point of this article was showing how we enter ‘The Phase’ and what happens in it. I’ll write about other details of how to get out of it, and what to do after getting out of it, in the next article. Don’t forget to return for the next one. Until next time, stay safe, healthy, wear a mask and sanitize yourself.

Adios.
