Dear Phil,
Yello! (Just used your catchphrase) I am pretty sure you’d would be absolutely pumped up after receiving this letter, and we all know how excited you’re about everything, after all you’re a born cheerleader. It feels so good to be back in touch with you again after what happened last year. I know it’s a pretty sensitive topic for people like us but we can’t avoid it for too long. Ever since ya’ll lost touch with all of us, it’s been awful. It wasn’t your fault either, but all of us knew it wouldn’t last forever. The wittiness, humor, hilarious jokes, insanity and the heart-warming family relationship you provided us in 11 years cannot be exchanged for anything.
When we last got in touch, there was havoc all over in your house. Haley, Dylan, the twins, Luke and Alex returning back home made it a total chaos, leading you and Claire to live in the RV. But nah, I’m sure everything might be worked out by now. You guys adjust so quickly to things, for example there was an entire episode shot on a computer (I remember it gave you literal goosebumps). I hope you don’t get bored in quarantine, and maybe watch another web series like B99 or The Good Place. After all, they aren’t going to match your level, but you could give them some tips in order to reach your level.
It seems like ages since I watched one of your episodes, but in reality, I watched it about an hour before writing this letter, Hehe. I always think that COVID came up as a protest because the show ended, and if you guys return back, COVID will disappear, giving solace to the entire world (double presents for your fans). The best thing about your crazy family is that despite cultural and generational gaps, there was unity and love between all, which is basically the need of the hour. Instead of growing apart, the entire family grew closer to each other. That has been inspiring for every person watching, and it’s been absolutely terrific. After 20 odd years, my experience with the true Modern Family will definitely be worth an anecdote.
As I previously said, we knew it wouldn’t last forever, and it had to end sometime. I’ll always remember and love you, and we’ll forever be friends despite whatever happened to the show. I admire your wittiness, being a family man, and being an ever-happy person, Phil. An ever-entertaining human. It’s better if we end things on good terms, or an argument on why you went away might ruin it.
The show’s memories have been sparkling and will last forever and ever, even though it has ended a while back. Despite watching the whole thing over and over again I failed to get bored, because that’s been the charm.
“Everything you love either ends or disappears one day. You can't live without it, but you have to. That is life. Whatever happens, you move on like it never happened.”
-A friend of mine
