UNHRC’s Initiative

As long as we’re living in a world as huge as this, having human rights is probably the most important aspect for a human being. In the 21st century, people look up to having different privileges and resources, but the focus on Human rights had severely dropped down due to which thousands of non-privileged people couldn’t spend their lives as a normal human being, with basic rights to education, proper meals, right to expression, etcetera. People on the higher level of society have purely ruled all over, and basic needs for less-privileged people haven’t been provided, as of yet.

UNHRC, one of the six committees of the UN, has put up a commendable effort to bring the focus back on the basic needs of people. One can survive without electronic appliances, but without simple human needs, there’s no point of even being around. The need of more promotion of human rights might have come at just the right time for people who’re in desperate and genuine need of such things. The Human rights policy is applicable to everyone, and isn’t just based for a limited number of nations. UNHRC is looking to bring about change, with delegates from several countries putting in their opinions and ideas to provide every person those rights, which can definitely be life-changing. These pointers protect women, and LGBT rights which are desperately the need of the hour.

On the other hand, UNHRC has also been rooting for the growth of Artificial Intelligence, as according to most, it has a great scope of development in the coming times. People have termed AI as robots, which have appearance as humans, but are way ahead of them when it comes to advancement. Delegates from most countries have appealed that AI is the way ahead for advancement, but we be able to control it, and not the other way round. Interestingly, it’s a huge positive for people without either of these resources, as it’ll be a next level advancement for them.

The question is: Will UNHRC be able to pull this off?
