This incident proves that anything can happen with anyone, anytime. Even the laziest of beings can enter fields they haven’t had the slightest of interest. Yes, everyone does have different interests, but this thing will blow your mind. It could be a thing just for fun, but the bigger point is that he/she has at least come out of their comfort zone to try something out of the box. For a person with immense interest in eating food to make it just to kill time in a period of lockdown, there couldn’t be a bigger achievement.
The only food item I knew how to make was Maggi, a type of noodles with added flavours. In short, the easiest thing to make in the world, and loved by almost everyone. The perfect food item to have for either of the meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner. In a normal situation, the person will fly high after accomplishing something significant, and would go on to do it ahead as well. Well, I didn’t even care about making food ever again, and happily moved on.

Whenever I was next making food, there would be a lot of self-confidence as I had successfully done it before. But what was the point of having self-confidence when I wasn’t even sure about my next cooking day 😂. I could’ve traded it instead to someone in need 😆. All I did was to boast about my first and maybe last experience of cooking. A few factors of me not continuing cooking could’ve been: lack of interest or fear of not being able to make a dish properly again 😂. Another point could be that I already got proper meals every day, so what was the point of me making things that are already made by mom.

The third and most important point was that my friend was a baker/chef for ages, and even ran a business. Obviously, there was no sort of competition between us, but why would I make food if he can already make it for me 😂. After a year of wait, I dragged myself back to cooking. No, it wasn’t my passion or to kill time. A little unusual, but it was for participating in a local cooking competition. But I couldn’t cook things that I had done before, it was a fireless cooking competition. Almost felt as if my comeback was ruined.

Gave it some thoughts, put 100% effort in deciding what dish to prepare 😒. For a split second, it felt as the most difficult thing in the world, but wasn’t for any normal person or a chef like my friend, making chocolate balls might’ve been an easy thing. I had no intention to be in that competition for passion, it was just to compete and have fun. The lockdown helped me try different things, and cooking definitely played a significant part in it. Not just a new thing, it even gave me blog content. I am not going to explain the whole recipe here, because it’s a personal blog, not a food blog.

Before making these chocolate balls, I was certain it wouldn't take time. I just had to make Choco balls out of it, but was it going to be that easy? Making the filling, then mixing it together, and finally preparing the balls. This was a weird way that showcased the difficulty in making food, something my mom had been doing since ages. Just 1 hour into making an easy dish I was tired already. Phew, I agreed to make this thing and regardless of the result, I understood one important thing. I immediately wrote a blog after just 1 recipe, but can we expect the same from several other moms or even dads who prepare food for their family every single day, no we cannot. I went a little off-topic there, but never underestimate yourself or others.

It’s fine that you must’ve made Maggi or something else, but there’s effort. After my cooking experience, I highly appreciate the effort put by the people who cook or bake, as many people criticize them, for baking or cooking being an easy job, but when you actually experience it, you understand the effort behind it. Look at the effort instead of the result, and just ask yourself: did I give my best? Simply work harder next time if you feel that you didn’t give your best effort. I would encourage everyone to look into the effort, instead of the result.

Dwry bro I didn't cook dinner for 45 people without screwing it up. We all learn, and cooking is a fun and meaningful way to pass time!!
